Inshore Spanish Mackerel

1/2 Day NearShore and Inshore

Half day nearshore charters last 4 hours and are normally within five miles of the beach. The target species are spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, red drum, flounder, spot, croaker, trout, and sea mullet (whiting). Species targeted depend on the angler's desires and what is actively biting at the time of the charter.

Inshore cobia

Extended 1/2 Day NearShore and Inshore Charter

Near shore charters are usually done within sight of the beach. Most near shore trips are done trolling small spoons or similar lures around schools of bluefish and Spanish mackerel. Sometimes during near shore and inshore trips larger species such as cobia or false albacore are also spotted and targeted but these bigger fish are usually seasonal and not guaranteed. Please discuss this with the captain before leaving the dock so that you will know the odds. We also now offer 3/4 day (6 hour) nearshore trips that can go a bit further off the beach or down the beach where we might have the opportunity to find species like king mackerel, sharks and amberjack. Again these species are often seasonal and not a guarantee to be within our range on a near shore charter.
